  2. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  5. In order to set up Fund Manager, run "install" from
  6. the floppy diskette (example: "a:\install").  The
  7. installation program (as well as FM) is a Windows 3.X
  8. program and must be run from within Windows.  The 
  9. installation program will create a new group with 
  10. several items, including samples to get you started.
  11.  
  12. An overview, as well as all the documentation for
  13. Fund Manager is available via on-line help from inside
  14. the application.
  15.  
  16. The Fund Manager package includes a utility ToCSV.
  17. A description of this utility is available via on-line
  18. help from inside ToCSV.

  63. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE

  66. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  67. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  68. using it, you are expected to register. Individual programs
  69. differ on details -- some request registration while others
  70. require it, some specify a maximum trial period. With
  71. registration, you get anything from the simple right to continue
  72. using the software to an updated program with printed manual.

  79. and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
  80. distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy
  81. and distribute the software, either to all and sundry or to a
  82. specific group. For example, some authors require written
  83. permission before a commercial disk vendor may copy their
  84. Shareware.

  107. Fund Manager is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  108. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  109. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  110. another system.  The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  111. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  112. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  113. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program
  114. useful and find that you are using Fund Manager and continue to use
  115. Fund Manager after a reasonable trial period, you must make a reg-
  116. istration payment of $15 to Mark Beiley.  The $15
  117. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
  118. computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just like
  119. a book.  An example is that this software may be used by any
  120. number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  121. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it
  122. being used at one location while it's being used at another.

  124. same time.

  127. copies of Fund Manager within 30 days of first use or their license
